Wind turbines are much quieter than you might think! Check out these videos of wind farms in action.

In this video, the crew went to visit the Maple Ridge Wind Farm, which is located just east of Lake Ontario in Upstate New York.

This video shows a wind farm in Silver Lake, West Virginia.

The National Wind Coordinating Committee reports that: "Based on current estimates, windplant-related avian collision fatalities probably represent from 0.01 percent to 0.02 percent (i.e., 1 out of every 5,000 to 10,000) of the annual avian collision fatalities in the United States." That is, commercial wind turbines cause the direct deaths of only 0.01 percent to 0.02 percent of all of the birds killed by collisions with man-made structures and activities in the U.S. http://www.roanoke.com/editorials/commentary/wb/147062 this should help the dead birds and bats arguement to bed
